Grace Lanser

Grace M. Lanser of Port Washington, formerly of Belgium, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at the age of 95.
She was born the daughter of Frank and Catherine (nee Schommer) Schmitz on Dec. 24, 1926.
She married George Lanser at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Dacada.
In 1951, the couple founded Lanser Garage and Towing Inc., specializing in heavy duty towing and recovery. It was later sold to their daughter and son-in-law.
Grace was most proud of her family and the family business.
Grace will remain in the hearts of her three daughters, Donna (Randy) Ingelse of Belgium, Joyce Lanser and Lynn (Dennis) Didier of Port Washington; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and she was soon to be a great-great grandmother; siblings Evelyn Walber and John (Mary) Schmitz; and sister-in-law Monica Schmitz.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends and staff at Harbor Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband George; twin grandsons Lennan and Dilan McDaniel; nine brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at Divine Savior Congregation, Holy Cross Chapel, 5330 County Road B, Belgium, WI 53004, with Father Buya presiding.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, prior to Mass at Eernisse Funeral Home 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium WI 53004.
Masks will be required at the funeral home and church.
Grace will be laid to rest next to her husband George on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at St. Mary’s Lake Church Cemetery in Belgium.

Eernisse Funeral Home of Belgium is assisting the family with arrangements.
