Dorothy Weber

Dorothy Margaret Weber, 93, of Green Bay and formerly of Grafton, passed away peacefully Jan. 1, 2022, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.

The daughter of John and Anne (Pavlinski) Sladek was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Milwaukee.

Dorothy married Lloyd David Thistle on Aug. 25, 1951. He passed away in 1979.

Dorothy married Leland Weber on Oct. 10, 1987.  

She worked as a secretary at various businesses throughout her life.

Dorothy was a member of the Mequon Woman’s Club and Thiensville-Mequon Postscripts.
    She enjoyed working the polls on election days. Dorothy also enjoyed bowling and golfing and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Survivors include her four children, Karen (Walter) Wells, Kevin (Debra) Thistle, Kendall (Carla) Thistle and Kraig (Teri) Thistle; and her grandchildren Trever (Kris) Wells, Kara (Ben) Andre, Chad (Kimberly) Thistle, Leeann (Jason) Wellenstein, Nicole (Albert) Klinter, Lloyd Thistle, Jessica (Ryan) Benson, Cassandra Thistle and Eric (Rebecca) Anderson.

She is further survived by her great-grandchildren Derek Andre, Neve Andre, Marna Andre, Luke Andre, Emma Thistle, Matthew Thistle, Ryan Thistle, Kennedy Thistle, Addison Wellenstein, Austin Wellenstein, Lucas Klinter, Sophia Kilinter, Ophelia Benson, Wyatt Anderson, Quinn Anderson, Cole Wells and Mason Wells; and her stepchildren Chris (Denny) Garfield, Cheryl (David) Drury, Karen (John) Omvig, David Weber, Gary Weber, Gregg (Margie) Weber and Dean Weber.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Lloyd Thistle; second husband Leland Weber; her parents John and Anne Sladek; stepfather Dominic Scarpace; her siblings Walter Sladek and Bernice Kovacik; father-in-law and mother-in-law David and Evelyn Thistle; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alice (William) Freiberg and Sophie (Donald) Burhop.

 Friends are invited to gather with the family at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 Washington St., Grafton, on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church with Father Mike Barrett presiding.

Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, Milwaukee.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Brookview Meadows Assisted Living in Green Bay and Aurora Hospice for the wonderful care given to Dorothy.
