Mabel Meyer

Mabel B. Meyer of Port Washington, Wis., was called to her heavenly home with family at her side on Oct. 10, 2021, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon.
She was born in the Town of Farmington on March 30, 1932, the daughter of Lillian and Daniel Moths.
Mabel was one of seven children and is survived by her sister Evelyn Brooke of Sheboygan, Wis., and her brother Calvin (Geraldine) Moths of Arizona City, Ariz., and sister-in-laws Audrey Moths of Howards Grove and Myrtle Moths of Sheboygan along with other family and friends.
Mabel married Lloyd Meyer on May 24, 1952, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade and had two children, Jane Meyer Bracken, married to Patrick Bracken, residing in Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Joan Meyer, living in Port Washington.
Mabel is also survived by two grandchildren, Jason Traxel and Nicole Beier, and four great-grandchildren, Brian and Olivia Traxel and Joel and Morgan Beier.
Mabel’s husband Lloyd passed away in Fayetteville, Ark., in 2001.
Mabel returned to live in Port Washington. She loved nature, especially birds, and gardening. She has fond memories of traveling with her husband in their RV during their retirement years.
She also loved her work at Lucille’s, Harbor Casuals, Sager’s and the Smart Shop in Port Washington.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2022.
