Lee P. Lemke

Lee P. Lemke, age 70, of Grafton, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 21, 2021, surrounded by family.

Lee was born on March 10, 1951, the son of Carl and Vivian Lemke. He was raised in Saukville, attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1969.

He was employed at Milwaukee Gear Co. (now Regal Beloit) for 43 years until his retirement in 2015. At Milwaukee Gear, he met the love of his life, Leigh Anne Sell, and they married on July 29, 1995, at Immaculate Conception Church.

At a young age, Lee was always tinkering with mechanical things and working on cars — his passion! He was always willing to help others out with their car problems.  His most prized possession was his first car, a 1955 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan, which he still had. He also was noted for his tri-power engine set-ups.

When not working on cars, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his grandson.
Lee is survived by his wife Leigh Anne, son Andrew C. and grandson Lee Henry of Belgium. He is further survived by his mother Vivian Lemke of Port Washington; brothers Mark (Judi) Lemke of Grafton and Joel Lemke of Saukville; and other dear family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Carl H., sister Jaclyn Alyea and daughter Jennifer Lemke.

Per Lee’s wishes, he has been cremated.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, with a memorial service following at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Father Karl Acker will officiate.
