Port library to host story walk, online author talk

    The Niederkorn Library in Port Washington will host a story walk through Rotary Park from Sunday, April 18, through Sunday, April 25.
    During the walk, laminated pages from a children’s book are presented on a trail to promote reading and exercise.
    The featured titles will be “Biscuit’s Earth Day Celebration” by Alyssa Satin Capucilli and “The Earth Book” by Todd Parr.
    The library is also online meeting with author Tracey Hecht at 6 p.m. Monday, May 6.
    Hecht will explore the meaning of courage and bravery using examples from her book “The Nocturnals: The Slithery Shakedown.”  
    The first 30 participants to register will receive a free, signed copy of the book.
