Utility bill mailings to arrive with a new look

Village of Saukville residents’ water and sewer utility bills will no longer arrive in the form of a green postcard.

January bills will appear in the form of a regular-size envelope stamped “utility bill enclosed” and include itemized charges.  Usage readings will be stated separately along with the total amount due and due dates.

The January 2021 bill will indicate the fourth-quarter 2020 usage and fees.

For the first time, the January bill will also reflect a 3% increase in water rates that was approved by the state Public Service  Commission and went into effect in November.

The new bill will indicate a prorated water service increase for the fourth-quarter billing period from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31.

Sewer fixed and usage rates will increase by 10% effective Jan. 1 and will be included in the following billing cycle.
