Kultgen honored for service

Fredonia resident and veteran Mike Kultgen (seated) was honored recently by Compassionate Care Hospice and the Van Ells Schanen American Legion Post 82 in Port Washington, of which he is a member. Kultgen joined the National Guard in 1957 and the Army in 1960, serving until 1963 and being stationed in Missouri, Maryland and Germany. In 2018, he participated in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight and in 2019 was named Legionnaire of the Year.
