Driver cited for striking truck in crash
A Plymouth woman was cited for running a red light at highways H and 57 near Fredonia and crashing into a semitrailer driven by a Fredonia man Tuesday, April 28.
According to the Ozaukee Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at 8:09 a.m. when a 2014 Freightliner operated by 30-year-old Kestutis Jankuaskis entered the intersection from the east and, with a green light, made a southbound turn onto Highway 57.
A 2014 Ford Escape operated by 27-year-old Summer Hoskins of Plymouth was heading north on Highway 57 and failed to stop for the red light, striking the semitrailer.
There were no reported injuries.
The intersection was closed until the vehicles could be removed. The Fredonia Fire Department assisted.
