Visiting the ‘Shark Tank’

Shortly before school closed, many of the seventh and eighth-graders at St. John XXIII Catholic School in Port Washington participated in a business program, where they create businesses and then presented them to a panel of judges as if they were on the television show “Shark Tank.”

Their presentations were judged on the sales pitch, oral presentation skills and product development.

Clockwise from top: Lauryn Ashley and Gabby Pionter presented Creative Cuts, which specialized in personalized stickers. Samantha Bennett (left) and Ashlyn Williams created Fly to Comfort, a tie fleece blanket company. Kaden Kopp (left) and Jacob Sereno showed off the cutting boards created by their company Woodworking United.
