School Board incumbent ousted in primary

Incumbent Random Lake School Board member Russell Saueressig was ousted from this spring’s general election after finishing fifth among four candidates vying for two seats in  the Feb. 18 primary.

Saueressig received 219 votes compared to 475 for Renie Rathke, 370 for Charles Mueller, 316 for incumbent Elizabeth Kocher and 286 for Laura Meyer.

The remaining four candidates will appear on the April 7 ballot.

Portions of the towns of Fredonia and Belgium lie within Random Lake School District boundaries.
