LETTER:You’ll find unhinged politicians on left, not in the White House

To Ozaukee Press:

A letter to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press claimed that President Trump is unhinged and that most people want him out of office. Once again a liberal shows how they use opinion and not fact. The fact is Trump’s popularity is higher than ever. Even some of the never-Trumpers are now on board. His popularity is at a higher level than Obama at the same point in his first term.

Just because a president does or says something that you disagree with does not make him unhinged. The letter writer claimed Trump has done nothing. Let’s see, economy moving along, lowest unemployment in 50 years, a tax cut, better trade deals with several countries and the flow of illegal  immigrants being curtailed with work on the wall.

With the president’s forward thinking policies, we are far less dependent on oil from the volatile Mideast. Unlike Obama, who spent his time apologizing to other countries and giving $150 billion to Iran so they can obtain nuclear weapons sooner, Trump puts America first.  

Trump is not a traditional president, which is why we voted for him. If any politicians are in fact unhinged, one would be more likely to find them on the left. We have presidential hopefuls saying everything should be free and let’s have open borders. Then we have A.O.C., who says most cities will be under water in 10 years, and let’s stop all fossil fuel use. Hey, congresswoman, how do we heat our homes, run our factories and get around the country? And Trump is the one unhinged?           

Trump says not to listen to fake news with good reason. Remember how we were pounded in 2016 on how Trump had no path to the White House. How’d that work out for ya, CNN?

Mainstream news is more opinion than factual reporting. After Trump was in office all we heard was collusion, collusion. As more facts came out, Russian collusion was a Hillary thing.

I will close this letter with a little tidbit:

President Trump will be re-elected. I support this with a historical fact. For about the past 130 years both parties have always held the office for at least two consecutive terms. The only time this did not hold true was when Carter was the president.

Every presidential election is a toss up on the popular vote. Half the people like him, half don’t. It really doesn’t matter who it is. Not everyone hates the president, as the letter writer claimed.

Just as we stood with Gov. Walker, millions of us are standing with President Trump making America great.
