YOUR PIX: The sun sets, and in the gloaming it paints sky, land and water with the last of the day’s light

Ozaukee Press readers recorded arresting images of gorgeous summer sunsets for YOUR PIX. Dave Kleckner of Port Washington submitted the photo taken by his daughter, Julie Gerds, of clouds over the Port marina that were turned orange and reflected in the glassy water. Pat Streff’s photo, taken through a decorative arch, captured silos and a barn in the Town of Port Washington silhouetted against the fiery sky. In Holly Wilke’s sunset picture, the sky put on a brilliant show over the Port Washington skyline as seen from Coal Dock Park.
Ozaukee Press welcomes photos submitted by readers for YOUR PIX. Subjects should be related to nature in the Ozaukee County area, including landscapes, seascapes, farm scenes, buildings in picturesque settings and people and animals enjoying nature. Photos, with the photographer’s name and contact information and the location and other details about the picture, should be emailed to: editor@ozaukeepress.com.
