Perfecta “Betty” Tremblay

Perfecta “Betty” Tremblay, 77, died of coronary heart disease at her Port Washington residence on Thursday, April 12.
Ms. Tremblay was born in Puerto Rico on April 19, 1940, to Luis and Carmen Rodriguez Ayala.
Over the years, she was employed at various nursing facilities, where she served as a caretaker. She also worked as a seamstress prior to caretaking.
Her family said she had a contagious sense of humor and loved to laugh. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles, bingo and socializing with friends and family.
Ms. Tremblay is survived by her son Stephan (Mariah) of Port Washington; sisters Cristina Bates of North Carolina, and Grisel (Edrick) Jaramillo of Belen, N.M.; brothers Al Ayala of Texas, and Willie (Cory) Ayala of Oak Creek; sister-in-law Ana Ayala of Camden, N.J.; and brother-in-law Klaus Welge of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Luis Jr. Ayala, and sisters Illana “Marty” Welge and Carmen Ayala.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. Deacon Mike Koebel will officiate.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 2 p.m. until the service.
