LETTER: Wonderful swimming pool with its great lifeguards is Port’s pirate treasure chest
To Ozaukee Press:
Pirates’ Hollow is such a treasure for Port Washington. Along with the library, it is one of the amenities that I most love in the community that I live in. It brings people such joy. It’s a wonderful summertime activity that is good, clean fun and family friendly. Where else can one exercise without sweating, getting needed vitamin D and hearing all sorts of happy sounds.
I want to thank the lifeguards and all the people who make this possible. We are blessed to have the lifeguards that are on duty during all pool activities. The swimming lessons they provide give access to a lifetime of joy and keep people safe in the water.
I’ve always found the pool attendants greeting people when you arrive to be very pleasant. (Adrian and Achilles have seen me enough to call me by name.)
The landscaping creates such a beautiful aesthetic. The city water plant provides the water and the recreation department takes care of registering people for pool passes and swim lesson.
I appreciate all that these people do to make the treasure of Pirates’ Hollow available to the community.
