Timothy J. Monahan

1963 – 2026
Timothy James Monahan, age 63, of Hartford went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 7, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of incredible craftsmanship, a generous spirit and deep devotion to his family.
Tim was a master of his craft. He began his lifelong career in the bricklayers union, perfecting the skill and artistry of brick and stone masonry. His drive and talent ultimately led him to found Monahan Masonry. Known to many as the absolute best in the business, Tim built a highly successful company and selflessly shared his knowledge, influencing and mentoring countless others in the trade.
Beyond his professional success, Tim was a natural problem-solver who genuinely loved helping people. He was known for his immense generosity and his willingness to step up whenever someone was in need. When he wasn’t working or lending a hand, he found peace and joy spending time at Harrington Beach State Park, enjoying the natural beauty of the lake.
Tim’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Michelle Monahan, his children Dan Monahan (Valerie Surita), Tara Monahan and Ryan (Abi) Monahan and his cherished grandchildren Adyline, Allana and Caspian. He is also survived by his siblings Debbie (Bruce) Paape, Kelly Fechter, Tom (Jenny) Monahan and Todd (Merri Jo) Monahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Darlene Monahan and his sister Shana Monahan.
