Authorities searching for victim of hit and run
Police are seeking an e-bike rider who was involved in a hit-and-run crash in the Town of Fredonia and then fled the scene.
According to an Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office press release, the crash occurred at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday on Fredonia Kohler Road near the intersection of Highway H.
The bicyclist who was riding an e-bike west on Fredonia Kohler Road was struck by a silver Ford Escape with Illinois license plates.
The Ford Escape left the scene. The driver was later located and arrested on other charges, according to the press release.
The bicyclist left the scene on foot with the bike.
“Deputies are attempting to contact the bicyclist to determine their condition and obtain information regarding the incident,” according to the press release.
The bicyclist is described as a white male. The bike sustained significant damage to the rear wheel.
