Volunteers sought for work at bog
The Friends of the Cedarburg Bog is seeking volunteers for stewardship work in the beech and maple woods at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Field Station in the Town of Saukville.
Volunteers will lead work sessions from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 30, and 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 3.
The rain date is Thursday, June 4.
Those attending should meet at the Field Station, 3095 Blue Goose Rd., and wear sturdy shoes.
The project is described as primarily an off-trail walk through the woods looking for garlic mustard and other invasive species.
