Spots open for arts workshops in Port

Limited spots are available at arts workshops offered in March and April by Studio 224 in Port Washington.

These hands-on sessions provide a space to explore creative techniques and seasonal inspiration.

“Makers & Mixers” will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 27.

The workshop is a new monthly creative night at Studio 224. Each session explores a different artistic theme, from printmaking and watercolor to paper arts and more.

  Bring your own beverages and snacks are welcome. All supplies are included.

“Spring Ephemera Printing” with Lesley Numbers will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11.

Participants will celebrate the arrival of spring through printmaking inspired by ephemeral woodland plants and the seasonal equinox.

Using pre-made printing blocks and stencils, participants will experiment with layering, color and texture while printing on postcards and found papers.

Each participant will leave with a collection of small, original prints.
