LETTER: Dan Vogel will stand up to ‘entrenched good old boys’
To Ozaukee Press:
Dan Vogel is running for Grafton Town Board supervisor and re-election to the Ozaukee County Board with a clear priority: responsible government that works for residents, not insiders.
For too long, decisions at the town level have been influenced by entrenched “good old boy” networks and private real estate interests. That approach has limited transparency, weakened accountability, and put special interests ahead of the long-term needs of our community.
Equally important is protecting and ensuring equitable access to our shared public resources. The parks, open land and natural areas across Grafton and Ozaukee County belong to everyone. They should be preserved, responsibly maintained and accessible to all residents—not influenced by private interests or back-room decisions.
Dan’s record demonstrates this commitment. As a member of the county’s
Natural Resources Committee, he helped secure funding for improvements at Cedar Gorge and upgrades at Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve, protecting and enhancing some of our most treasured public lands. He also took on the Union Pacific to push for the long-overdue repair of the railroad near the Ghost Town—an example of standing up to large institutions to deliver practical results for residents.
Our community deserves leadership that looks forward, not backward. That means modern, transparent governance that reflects today’s needs while protecting the natural assets that make this town such a special place to live.
Dan Vogel is committed to practical solutions, careful stewardship of taxpayer funds, and ensuring that our public lands remain protected and available for generations to come.
It’s time to move beyond entrenched politics and toward a more transparent, fiscally responsible future for our town.
Vote Dan Vogel for Grafton Town Board and re-elect Dan Vogel to the Ozaukee County Board.
