School career fair is April 9
The Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce and Cedar Grove-Belgium School District are again holding a job fair and career day this spring.
The event runs from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at the school. Each class of high school students will spend half an hour at the fair, and students from area high schools are invited.
The event is designed to connect students with a wide range of career pathways and postsecondary opportunities while strengthening relationships between schools and the local workforce. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with high school students, share insights about their industries, highlight employment opportunities, training, and educational options, and help students better understand the skills and experiences needed for future success, according to a statement from the school.
Students will receive a “passport” to complete as they speak to various tables at the fair. Promotional items are being accepted from local businesses as raffle prizes.
