Shank is new director of Gallery 224 in Port
Erin Shank is the new executive director of Gallery 224 in Port Washington.
A welcome reception for Shank will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the gallery.
Shank, who has a degree in interdisciplinary visual design, brings extensive experience in marketing and public-facing activations, spanning both regional and national work. She has built her career helping teams bring ideas to life through creative collaboration and thoughtful engagement.
Shank maintains an active artistic practice, giving her a grounded understanding of the creative process and the value of accessible arts spaces. She is passionate about supporting artists, strengthening programs and building connections that help community arts initiatives thrive.
“I’m honored to join Gallery 224,” she said. “There is so much heart and history here, shaped by dedicated artists, volunteers and supporters. I’m excited to get to know the community, support the work already underway and help us move confidently into the next chapter.”
