Sharon Thompson

Sharon Thompson of Port Washington, Wis., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at the age of 81.
She was born the beloved daughter of Randall and Dorothy (Meier) Messmann in Milwaukee on Jan. 24, 1944.
Sharon was a proud graduate of Whitnall High School in Milwaukee. She worked as a residential cleaner. Sharon loved to travel to Florida and Las Vegas, go camping and do word-search puzzle books. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family. She was a loving and caring person and always put her family first.
Sharon’s memory will be forever treasured by her children DeAnna (Jeff) Barber, Timothy (Carla Dugan) Thompson and Robert Thompson; adored grandchildren Haley (Andrew) Petersen, Hayden Thompson and Peyton Thompson; cherished great-grandchildren Asher, Ryder, and Sawyer Petersen; brother Richard Messmann; and dear friend Karen Melton. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband James Thompson.
A memorial service will take place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074. Family and friends are welcome to gather between 5 and 5:30 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
