Celebrating the area’s natural spaces, artistically

A reception was held Friday, Sept. 12, at Gallery 224 in Port Washington to honor the artists participating in the ArtServancy program, which pairs artists with nature centers in the region in hopes of inspiring their work. Jordan Acker Anderson (top) was assigned to the Huiras Lake Natural Area in the Town of Fredonia and Hector Acuna (above) did his work with the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory and Bratt Woods in Grafton. The exhibit, which runs through Nov. 1, also includes works by Lindsay Lochman and Barbara Clure, who were at Fellenz Woods in West Bend. Photos by Sam Arendt
