Celebrating 4-H members at the fair

When thinking about the county fair, most people’s minds go to the various animal exhibits, projects completed by 4-H members, food, games and rides. But it’s also a time to recognize 4-H club members for their hard work in other areas. Clockwise from above photo: Receiving scholarships  from the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation were (from left) Carter Hodgeson, Corinne Milam, Caitlyn Weyker, Paige Kurlinski, Alexis Lasee, Amelia Werner, Rebecca Gierach, Finnola Liljegren and Pete Lotz. Key Awards, the highest honor bestowed by the Wisconsin 4-H program, were presented to Rebecca Gierach (left) of Lindenwood 4-H, Cori Milam of Covered Bridge 4-H (right) and Alaina Jarmuz of Cloverleaf 4-H (not pictured). Anastasia Poull was named Ozaukee Fairest of the Fair. Jacob Cehanovich was crowned Mr. 4-H for the second consecutive year, and Emlyn Schuster was named Miss Ozaukee 4-H.
