Legion Riders’ ‘cruise’ starts in Port June 27

The Wisconsin Legion Riders’ three-day Cruise for a Cause will start in Port Washington this summer.

The motorcycle ride, with the theme “Be the One for Wisconsin-2025,” will raise awareness of veterans facing battles brought on by their experiences in the service and raise money for training and equipment to help them in their battle as well as to send veterans to Camp American Legion.

Before the ride, there will be a mandatory safety briefing at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82 in Port. Registration is from 5 to 7 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

On Friday, June 27, the ride starts in the morning at Post 82 and heads to the American Legion Post in Horicon. Stops at posts in Waunakee, New Glarus and Darlington are included during the first day.

The ride ends at the American Legion Post in Marshfield on Saturday, June 29. The entire ride covers about 610 miles.
