Veterans help the area’s hungry

The Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82 in Port Washington recently donated a portion of its proceeds from a meat raffle to the Food Pantry Inc. of Port Washington. Presenting a check for about $1,100 to the food pantry was Post Commander Ryan Lanser (right).
