Youth entries sought for 4-H virtual arts festival

        Young artists are being sought to enter the 2021 Tri-County 4-H Visual Arts Festival for an opportunity to share their artwork with the community, receive feedback on their work and talk virtually with other youth artists.
    Youths from third grade through college freshmen from Washington, Ozaukee and Fond du Lac counties are invited to participate in the free virtual event.
    Artists are not required to be registered in the Wisconsin 4-H program to participate.
    The theme for this year’s festival is “Nature in Art.” There is a focus on two-dimensional art.
    There are four categories for submission — drawing, painting, photography and other media.
    Online submissions are due Feb. 15. Multiple submissions are accepted. Prizes will be awarded for each category.
    The virtual, interactive portion of the festival will be held March 13. Attendance in the virtual event is not required to receive a prize.
