YOUR PIX: Tendick Park is now butterfly heaven

“I have been walking in Ozaukee County’s Tendick Nature Park in the Town of Saukville since its inception, and I have witnessed the tremendous job they have done planting native flowers and grasslands over the past few years. It has attracted many butterfly and dragonfly species, bees and other pollinators.” Those are the words of Cindy Harmeyer of Saukville, and she proved them true with these photos of butterflies and flowers she took in the park. Cindy identified the butterflies as a red admiral feeding on the nectar of a prairie coreopsis blossom (above) and an American lady wild bergamot.
