Williams leaves Belgium Chamber, Alexander hired as new director

The executive director of the Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce and the marketing and communications consultant with the Luxembourg American Cultural Society has a new job that keeps her locally involved.

Tara Williams is the new brand marketing manager for Ansay Development Corp. and Ansay International in Port Washington.

“This role is a natural next step for my career as it allows me to continue promoting developments that benefit our Ozaukee County community as well as continue to tell the Luxembourg-American story and help our team further the connections and relationships between Luxembourg and America through our imported products,” Williams said.

“Working with Ansay International allows me to continue learning more about Luxembourg, its products, people and its culture, which I’ve enjoyed doing through the Luxembourg American Cultural Society. Ansay International has made some impressive connections with amazing companies in Luxembourg and I look forward to working with our team to share their quality products with the rest of America.”

One of Ansay Development Corp.’s major initiatives is its development in Saukville.

“ADC’s Northern Gateway Community Collective is truly going to be a game changer for the county and will positively impact countless lives through our partnership with Mel’s Charities and Balance, Inc. as well as the recreational and economic opportunities it brings for all, so I am thrilled and honored to be a part of that as well as the many other projects happening throughout our county,” Williams said.

She will also continue to be involved with the Belgium Chamber.

“It was a very difficult choice to leave my positions behind as I’ve loved every minute of working with our Belgium community. I have been truly blessed to be able to raise my kids for the last 7 1/2 years in these roles as they were able to grow up immersed in learning the importance of being involved with our local nonprofits. I’m now looking forward to getting to experience it with them together as committed volunteers,” Williams said.

Chamber President Anne Noster praised Williams’ work with the Chamber.

“Tara had amazing new ideas for the BACC from the first day she started this position. We have been growing ever since Tara was hired in 2017,” Noster said. “Tara will be missed in this position yet she is not stepping away as she will remain as an important part of our Chamber.”

The Chamber has hired Melissa Alexander as its new executive director. Alexander was executive director of Port Main Street from 2019 to 2021.

The LACS hopes to have its marketing position filled by the end of the week.

“We really enjoyed working with Tara.  She was our part-time marketing consultant for over five years and during that time she wrote countless exceptional articles for our Luxembourg American Gazette publication, making it an important part of our member’s benefit. Tara also broadened Luxembourg Fest’s visibility through securing television interviews and social media,” LACS Executive Director Patricia Lutz said.

“She has been a valuable creative partner in growing the LACS membership base even through the unknown years of Covid.  We wish her the best with her exciting new position with the Ansay group.”
