William Ronald Stierman

William Ronald Stierman of Grafton, Wis., passed away the morning of Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 81.

He was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on Feb. 13, 1945, to Eldon and Martha (nee Brode) Stierman-Licht.

Bill attended Dubuque Senior High School, graduating in 1963. He attended barber school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

On Feb. 25, 1967, he married the love of his life, Eloise Sachs, at Holy Angels Church in Milwaukee, Wis.

Bill was a founding member of the Northern Ozaukee Ambulance Service, an enthusiastic Ozaukee High Booster and volunteered at Riveredge Nature Center and the Windstar Foundation.

He enjoyed fishing, word search puzzles, watching a good Western movie and collecting sports cards. He was also a true Packers and Brewers fan. Diet Pepsi and cookies were his favorites. He was known as the “Cookie Monster.”

Bill’s memory will remain in the hearts of those he knew best. He is survived by his loving wife Eloise “Ellie;” his devoted children Aaron (Stacy) Stierman of Mequon, Wis., and Paulette Stierman of Wailuku, Hawaii; adored grandchildren Henry and Harrison Stierman of Mequon; sisters-in-law Denise Sachs and Michele (Sachs) Bock-McManus (Brian); cherished extended family members Fengshan and Changhong Li of Madison, Wis.; and their sons Aaron Li of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kevin Li of Miyazaki, Japan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon Stierman and Martha Stierman-Licht, stepfather Donald Licht, sister Mary (the late Ray) Roidl, brother-in-law Paul Bock and nephews Kevin, Kenneth and Timothy Roidl.

  The family will celebrate his life privately.

Eernisse Funeral Home of Cedarburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
