William Henry “Will” Joll III

William Henry “Will” Joll III of Cedarburg passed away Monday, March 13, at Lawlis Family Hospice.

Will was born on Sept. 16, 1962, in Monongahela, Penn., to William H. Joll II and the late Sharon (Fine) Joll.

He and his parents moved to Chesterton, Ind., where he grew up with his brothers Chris and Joe.

Will joined the Marine Corps after high school and worked as a tank engineer.

He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and graduated in 1991.

He worked as an electrical engineer for most of his life.

Will married Julie Lynn Shambaugh on July 20, 1991. After moving many times across the country, they settled in Wisconsin. Though they divorced in 2008, they remained good friends for the rest of his life. They had two children, Anna Jean and Jonathon Daniel.

For his whole life, Will enjoyed the outdoors and spent his time camping, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking.

Will is survived by his children Anna and Daniel and his ex-wife Julie.

He is also survived by his father William Henry “Bill” Joll II and Bill’s wife Sandy, his brothers Chris (Molly) and Joe, his nieces, nephews, great-nephew and his lifelong friend Bob Atherton.

A celebration of life will be held on May 14 at 1 p.m. at Mitchell Park Pavillion in Milwaukee, Wis., for Will’s friends and family.
