Waubeka firefighters to hold open house Oct. 9

To mark Fire Prevention Week, the Waubeka Fire Department will hold an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Fire Prevention Week is Sunday, Oct. 6, through Saturday, Oct. 12.

The open house will include the hands-on fire hose ball challenge, fire and rescue demonstrations, Flash the Fire Dog and fire truck rides. Free refreshments and door prizes will be available.

Applications for volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians also will be available.
