Water quality update to be presented

The Belgium Town Board will receive an update on a water quality study at its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Ozaukee County Director of Land and Water Management Andy Holschbach will provide the latest results of a Lake Michigan water study that includes samples from the town’s shoreline.

The board will also hear a request for a tornado siren on the east end of the town where Cedar Grove and Belgium sirens are not audible, discuss a possible land use violation, incomplete renovation project and may update the town’s fees schedule, including charges for temporary storage structures and others.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 171 Main St. It was moved to Tuesday from the usual first Monday of the month due to Labor Day.
