Voters to mask up

Voters in the town and village of Belgium will see a similar setup on Tuesday as they did in April.

Plexiglass or doors will separate voters from officials and social distancing will be required.

The biggest difference is people will be required to wear masks, per state mandate.

The other change is in the voter registration law. Voters must have lived at their current addresses for 28 consecutive days before election day. Those who don’t meet the requirement may vote using their former addresses.

The town is allowing early voting in person or via drive-through from 4 to 7 p.m. through Thursday, Aug. 6.
