Volunteers sought to pack food for needy
A Feed My Starving Children meal packing event will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8, at Portal Inc. in Grafton.
Throughout the two-day event, 450 volunteers working in two-hour shifts will pack 101,000 nutritious meals for distribution to the needy in the developing world.
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit hunger relief charity that works with organizations across the globe to end hunger by providing inexpensive meal packets consisting of rice, soy protein, dehydrated vegetables and 20 vitamins and minerals.
Anyone may volunteer for a two-hour packing shift or donate toward the $29,000 cost of the meals.
