Volunteers sought to help clean gravestones

The Bells of St. Mary’s Inc. is seeking volunteers to help clean gravestones in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lake Church.

Anyone 14 or older is welcome.

The group will clean gravestones at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 26.

Participants must wear face masks and are asked to bring safety glasses, plastic or latex gloves, a plastic bucket or watering can, plastic brushes with soft bristles and a kneeling pad.

People are asked not to bring hard-bristle or wire brushes, bleach or household cleaners.

Participants are asked to arrive by 8:45 a.m. both days to receive instructions.
