Volunteers needed at Eghart House

Volunteers are being sought to lead tours and help with the upkeep of the Eghart House this summer.

Volunteers will learn about the history of Port Washington  and receive a guide book, training and even an end-of-season celebration.

The Eghart House is a Victorian restoration depicting life in Port Washington in the late 1800s. Its contents have been donated by Port Washington area residents, and the house has drawn thousands of visitors since it opened in 1970.

Volunteers are asked to leads tours from 1 to 4 p.m. one Saturday each month during the summer, as well as occasionally for special weekday tours.

Anyone who’s interested is asked to call Gina Taucher at  284-2875 or Kara Eulgen

at (414) 530-9692.

For more information about the house, visit www.egharthouse.org.
