Vincent Frederick Nast III
Feb. 24, 1941 – June 20, 2025
Fred passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the age of 84.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1941, in Green Bay, Wis., to V. Frederick Nast Jr. and Mildred Benedict Nast.
He lived in Port Washington, Wis., and was the dedicated companion of Tanya Olsen.
Fred devoted his professional life to the family business, Western Lime Corp. He was a charitable man to organizations he supported and was generous with his children and grandchildren. Fred was known for his kind, personable nature, fun-loving spirit and sense of humor.
His creative talents were reflected in his stained-glass works and welded copper flowers. He took pleasure in working on his home and gardening. Fred enjoyed walking his dog, boating on Lake Michigan and spending winters in Key West, and was an avid reader. Most importantly, he valued spending time with his family and friends.
Fred was the proud father of Jessica (David Neper) Nast, Michael (Michelle) Nast and Kathryn (Robert) Nast Picciolo; loving grandfather “Gramps” to Molly, Joey, Emily, Grace, Lauren, Ingrid, Andrew, Evelyn and Emilia; great-grandfather to Calli; and dear brother of Barbara Nast Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother John Nast.
Fred will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
It was Fred’s wishes that no formal service be held, but the family will be having a celebration of life on a date yet to be determined.
