Victor Larson

Victor A. Larson, 86, died Thursday, Oct. 4, at his Saukville home.
Mr. Larson was born March 30, 1932, in Hillsboro, N.D. to Helmer and Emily LaFlash Larson. He graduated from Bohnsack high school in North Dakota and was active in sports.
On May 4, 1951, he married Shirley Brag in Ada, Minn. Shirley preceded him in death on Nov. 15, 1984.
The couple lived in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana before moving to Wisconsin in 1969.
In Wisconsin, Mr. Larson was a heavy equipment operator for Louis C. Hoffman & Sons. He retired from the job at the age of 72.
On April 11, 1986, Mr. Larson married “Sherri” Bunney and the couple resided in Saukville. They enjoyed socializing at the Saukville truck stop, going to movies and spending time with friends and family. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2013.
His family said Mr. Larson was a social man and he knew just about everyone. Mr. Larson didn’t venture far without his loyal canine companion Harley. He enjoyed dancing and swimming, and was an advanced ham radio operator. He also played billiards at the Port Washington Senior Center.
Mr. Larson is survived by his children Roger (Linda) of Grafton, Karen (Steve) Buss of Sun Prairie, Cindy (Tony) Blazek of Lodi and Misti (Pat) Depies of Random Lake.
He is further survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Larson was preceded in death by his wives Shirley and Sherri, sons Virgil and David, four brothers and five sisters.
A memorial service will take place at noon Saturday, Oct. 13, at Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington.
Pastors Sid Litke and Jim Engelman will officiate.
Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Poole Funeral Home, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
