Two new exhibits shown at museum until May 9

    Two exhibits — “Faces of Wisconsin” and “Little Gems, Big Impact” — are on display through May 9 at the Cedarburg Art Museum.
    The museum at W63 N675 Washington Ave. is open from noon to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
    “Faces of Wisconsin” includes works by seven area artists showing iconic images of Wisconsin culture.
     These include Golda Meir, Harry Houdini, Billy Mitchell, a family enduring a Covid-19 lockdown, a Northwoods flea market scavenger and the legendary hodag.
    The participating artists are Lori Beringer, Patrick Doughman, Sasha Kinens, Rosy Petri, Vicki Reed, Janet Roberts, and Doug Witz.
    “Little Gems, Big Impact” is a juried show by Wisconsin Watercolor Society of members’ smaller works.
    The artists illustrate a variety of subject matter and styles in landscapes, portraits and still life with methods of abstraction to realism.
