Town transfer site supervisor gets raise

The Belgium Town Board on Monday gave its transfer site supervisor a raise.

Dave Winnemuller will receive $20 per hour, up from $16 per hour.

“He does a very great job down there as you all well know,” Supr. Tom Bichler said.

“This is the best darn transfer site update guy we had in a long, long time,” Town Chairman Tom Winker said. “He does it very very personally. And I’m not knocking anybody, but when somebody elderly drives in and he knows they need help, he helps them.”

Resident Dan Large asked if $20 was enough.

“He’s very satisfied with that,”Bichler said.
