Thomas “Jumbo” Miller

“See you when the wind blows.”

Thomas “Jumbo” Miller, age 83, of West Bend, Wis., went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2025.

He was born to the late Raymond and Helen (Hammerer) Miller on Oct. 22, 1941, in Milwaukee.

He was united in marriage to Annette Prochnow on May 20, 1978, in Jackson. Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Tom lived a life full of adventure and purpose as an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, Air Force veteran, vice president of the Ozaukee Guzzlers MC, nationwide trap shooter and longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.

He worked as the first salesman for Old Wisconsin Sausage and later for Fromm Family Pet Food.

In his free time, you could find him at the cabin “up north,” cheering on his favorite Wisconsin sports teams or on the phone sharing life and encouraging others.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou Miller, mother-in-love Anita Eulert and fathers-in-law Albert Prochnow and Conrad Eulert, along with three nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish Tom’s memory include his wife of 46 years, Annette, and daughters Rayelle (Chris) Berola and Krista (Bryan) Patrick with grandchildren Riley and Nolan and cousins, including Kathy (Bob) Plantz.

Tom was a loving brother-in-law to Elaine (the late Ralph) Gerner, Jerry (Arlene) Prochnow, Diane (the late Bill) Brandt, the late Sharon (Jim) Matenaer, Glen (Linda) Prochnow, Dale Prochnow, Warren (Holly) Prochnow, Carol (Mark) Viesselmann and Jeff (Julie) Prochnow as well as 16 nieces and nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

Celebration of life: Tom’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at Terrace 167, 3219 Holy Hill Rd., Richfield, WI. Pastor Jeff Hesse will officiate a service at 12:30 p.m. Following the service, there will be more time for fellowship, conversation (including an open mic for story telling), food and ice cream (Tom’s favorite).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Tom can be made out to the Boy Scouts of America, Lawlis Family Hospice or St John’s Lutheran, West Bend.

Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Thomas’s arrangements.
