Terry Nordby

Port Washington resident Terry Nordby died Thursday, March 22, at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Port. He was 55.
Mr. Nordby died of respiratory complications, his sister Karrie Ann Sauer said.
He was born in Milwaukee with his twin brother Todd on Nov. 13, 1962, the son of Harold and Patricia Wilkum Nordby.
When Mr. Nordby was a child, he moved with his family to Port Washington, then to Fredonia, where he grew up. He attended schools in Kewaskum and graduated from Kewaskum High School.
A automobile aficionado, Mr. Nordby learned about cars while helping his father repair them at their Fredonia home. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of cars and enjoyed sharing his knowledge at car shows, his sister said.
Mr. Nordby worked at Advanced Die Casting in Milwaukee for more than 15 years.
“He always had a smile on his face,” Mrs. Sauer said of her brother. “He was very kind and always willing to help out in any way he could.”
In addition to cars, Mr. Nordby was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, she said.
He is survived by his mother Patricia (Donald) Prom of Port Washington; siblings Jamie (Julieann Werner) Fowler of Port Washington, Karrie Ann (John) Sauer of Allenton, Brett (Marina) of California, Mark (Jody) of Mellen and Ryan of Chippewa Falls; and sister-in-law Corrine Nordby of Fredonia.
Mr. Nordby was preceded in death by his father Harold Nordby and his wife Elaine and brothers Todd and Craig.
A celebration of his life will be held this summer.
Poole Funeral Home and Crematory, Port Washington, is handling the arrangements.
