Teen substance abuse is topic for workshop

“Teen Substance Use: E-Cigarettes, Alcohol and Marijuana Demystified” will be discussed during a 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5,  Zoom workshop.

Sammi Schams, a psychotherapist at North Shore Center who specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults struggling with substance use, will discuss the importance of monitoring substance abuse by adolescents and young adults.

Her talk will touch on e-cigarettes, alcohol and marijuana use, warning signs and protective factors.

She will also offer suggestions for parents and caregivers.

The workshop is sponsored by Ozaukee Family Services.
