Taking part in the national pastime

The hosts had multiple teams participate in the 12th annual Fireworks Tournament put on by the Cedar Grove-Belgium Athletic Association on June 25 through 28 in Belgium. Above, some members of the 12-year-old team sat on the bench ready for action. Lower right, Augie Mueller fired a pitch. The team went 1-4 in the tourney, which included teams in 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14-year-old divisions. The tournament started with two divisions and seven teams and has grown to 26 teams across five divisions.
