Three Cedar Grove Boy Scout Troop 841 members recently completed Eagle Scout projects.
Blake DeSwarte, who graduated from Cedar Grove-Belgium High School in 2017, and seniors Wesley Katte and Reagan Beernink all earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
DeSwarte rebuilt two tables and benches at Here We Grow Preschool and Childcare Center in Saukville. He used tree trunks to build furniture for an outdoor classroom and did a service project with children, making literacy rocks and writing cookie blocks and wooden building blocks for the classroom.
DeSwarte also received a Bronze Palm for earning five merit badges beyond the required 21 for Eagle Scout.
Katte built eight helmet and bat boxes for three baseball and softball diamonds in Belgium and at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School’s baseball field, providing players a place to store equipment during games.
Beernink built and installed six gun racks, a dozen bird houses and four benches for the Saukville Conservation Club.
