Stephen R. Ferneau

 

Mr. Steve Ferneau of Milwaukee, formerly of Janesville, passed away suddenly at his home on Oct. 18, 2021. He was 51 years old.

Stephen was born in Oak Forest, Ill., on Aug. 14, 1970, the son of Steven L. and Nancy McDonald Ferneau.  

The family moved to Janesville in 1984 and Steve graduated from Craig Senior High School in Janesville, Class of 1988.  

In 2016, he moved to Milwaukee to take on a job at WestRock, where he was employed as a fork lift operator.

Steve loved working on computers and had enjoyed playing video games when he was younger. He also enjoyed staying on top of current issues while watching Fox News.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Nancy (the late John) Powers of Fredonia and sisters Jacqui (Bob) Hein of Janesville, Bonnie (Greg) Huggins of Munster, Ind., and Julie (Ron) Schram of Fredonia.

He is further survived by his longtime girlfriend Margie Riemer of Janesville, numerous nieces and nephews, newly found brother Joe (Kelly) Grossmayer of Arizona, other family members and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.  

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until services at 3 p.m.

He will be laid to rest beside his family in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville, the following day.

Memorials, if desired, are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
