State park to hold Work Play Earth Day

Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium seeks volunteers for Work Play Earth Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 26.

People are asked to meet at the Ansay Welcome Center for assignments, which range from tree and wildflower planting to beach cleanup.

Advance registration is not required, but large groups are asked to contact the park office at (262) 285-3015 before the event.

Park admission is free for volunteers.

Volunteers should wear work shoes or boots, long pants and work gloves.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Refreshments at noon will be provided.
