Spreading joy at Christmas

A group of students gathered at the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Hall — aka Inventors Brewpub — on Nov. 21 to make cards for the veterans at the Milwaukee VA Center. The 14 students created roughly 680 cards, each of which will be stuffed with activities such as puzzles for the veterans to enjoy. Showing off an assortment of the cards were (top photo, from left) Macy Eslinger and Lainey Homes. Picking out the materials for their cards were (left photo) Camdyn Melin, Brynn Peacock, Kate Cavanaugh and Makenna Eslinger. The activity was sponsored by the Post 82 Legion Auxiliary.
