A special day of fishing in Port

There were plenty of smiles to go around as Kelly McClanahan and Stacy Nelson (middle in photo above) held a fish they caught aboard the boat of charter captain Ruben Ojeda (right) and first mate Tracy Ojeda (left) during the 53rd annual Disabled Vets Fishing Outing in Port Washington last week. Among those who volunteered to help with the event, which treats veterans from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Milwaukee to a day of fishing, were Port High students including Jarek Roman, who held a fish for veteran Jack Muryn (lower right). After fishing, lunch was served at the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Hall. Photos by Sam Arendt
